The changes I've seen during my 20+ years of fieldwork motivate me to take strategic, multidisciplinary approaches to understand how animals survive in changing environments. From tropical intertidal octopuses to abyssal sea cucumbers, free-living animals tell their own stories through my data, and challenge long-standing assumptions about what is considered possible.
